Most artists are ecstatic just to attend the MTV Video Music Awards, but according to PopEater, Taylor Swift was anything but that.
In fact, the site declares Swift “was terrified to perform” her new song, “Innocent,” which was directed towards Kanye West and the incident last year at the awards show.
Wait, the chart-topper and seasoned performer was “terrified”?
A so-called Swift “friend” tells PopEater, “Taylor was a nervous wreck before she hit the stage last night. She knew Kanye was in the building and was terrified and praying that he wouldn’t pull another stunt.”
Swift supposedly “had no idea how he would react to the song she wrote and performed about him,” the source continues.
Well, Gossip Cop can tell you precisely how those close to Swift reacted to PopEater’s latest tale.
“Not true,” a Swift confidante repeatedly said about each of the site’s allegations.
Swift, who actually met with West backstage, was confident in herself and the song – two reasons she chose to perform it.
Both Swift and West are trying to turn over a new leaf. It’s a shame sites like PopEater are trying to “wreck” it with inaccurate reporting.
